My Corner of the World

I'm Maddad on the internet, a composite of David Madison and my family role of Dad. I am a Caucasian male, 6 foot tall, 200 pounds, and reasonably fit. I have short sandy brown hair, blue eyes, and am always smiling. In 2001 I cut my hair because I was tired of the shaggy look. On June 2, 2003, just 11 days before my 50th birthday, I shaved my beard off. I keep the picture on my website because I still like it best. The last time I was clean shaven my son Dave was not yet walking; he is now a former Marine. While I do not smoke, I drink moderately, have never had a hangover, and have articulate Protestant beliefs.
In December of 1999 I moved to Pottstown, Pennsylvania, a town of 22,000 people about an hour west of Philadelphia. For the previous seven years, Rutland, the second largest city in Vermont with a population of 17,500, had been my home. It is in New England, the North East corner of the United States of America.
I'm back in college full time again to become a registered nurse even though I already have an associate degree with a computer concentration. I graduate in August of 2005 and plan to take up psychiatric nursing with the Commonwealth in Norristown.
SETI SuperStar Award In January of 2002 The SETI League gave me their SETI SuperStar Award for my letter to the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) as a significant contribution to the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI) science. The letter explains why SETI is important for everyone as opposed to just a few astronomers.
